MacTier Family Grouping
Friends Forever has great success with our before and after school program that we are happy to say that we will be expanding into a Full Day Family Grouping within MacTier Public School this September 2026. The Family Grouping program is for families with children aged 0-4 years. This program is fully licensed, and subsidy is also available. This program runs from 7-6 pm Monday to Friday. We thrives on immersing ourselves in the culture and community of MacTier and surrounding areas and we look forward to getting to know and learn alongside the children in our programs!
Meet our Supervisor!
My name is Melanie, most people call me Mel. I am a mom of 4 teen and young adult children and I’ve been an RECE for 30 years. I’ve had experience in a large variety roles within the field such as teaching preschool, supervising a childcare centre, working as a home childcare home visitor, as an EA in the school system and relief in a group home for children with special needs. I firmly believe that all children are capable beings who, if given the guidance, tools and time can do great things. I am super excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the lives of the children in my community and can’t wait for all the fun times we’ll have.
Meet our Administrator!
Janelle is the South Administrator for Friends Forever, overseeing operations across our South sites from Sundridge to Honey Harbour, including Magnetawan, Burks Falls, and MacTier. Since joining the organization as an educator in 2022, she has become a consistent source of support for both families and staff.
With over 12 years of experience in the childcare field, Janelle focuses on the day-to-day management and overall success of our southern locations. Her experience has strengthened her commitment to building strong relationships and creating inclusive, nurturing environments where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
Whether she is visiting sites or coordinating from the office, Janelle remains accessible, responsive, and dedicated to supporting the needs of families and staff while ensuring programs run smoothly.

Our program operates using the How Does Learning Happen curriculum, teaching all children the importance of well being, expression, belonging and engagement. We thrive to provide a fun, safe and inclusive program for all children that need childcare in MacTier and area.
